Crystal Palace have secured Jefferson Lerma on fresh terms running for a further two years.
The Colombian midfielder arrived at Selhurst Park back in 2023 after seeing out his contract with Bournemouth, and was approaching the final 12 months of his existing deal. The fresh terms will now ensure he remains in south London until the summer of 2028.
At 31 years of age, Lerma has accumulated 121 appearances across all competitions since making the switch to the Eagles.
The South American star has featured during what supporters regard as the finest era in the club’s history, contributing significantly to the squads that claimed silverware in the FA Cup during 2025, alongside triumph in both the Community Shield and Conference League campaigns that followed.
His experience will prove crucial for a Palace side currently rebuilding after the exits of defensive duo Maxence Lacroix and Marc Guehi. Lerma’s ability to operate in both midfield and defence gives incoming head coach Pierre Sage valuable tactical options.
On the international stage, the seasoned campaigner has earned 70 caps for his nation, featuring in every match during their World Cup group stage before the team was eliminated at the last-16 phase.
