Palace secure Israeli international Khalaili
Anan Khalaili has earned 16 appearances for his country
Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Israel international Anan Khalaili, with the contract set to expire in 2031.
The south London club are understood to have spent £21million on the versatile defender, who is 21 years old and capable of featuring at right-back or on the wing.
Khalaili arrives from Union Saint-Gilloise, where he played since 2024 and helped the Brussels-based outfit clinch their inaugural Belgian top-flight crown in nine decades, alongside lifting the Belgian Cup.
His arrival provides Palace with valuable continental know-how for their Europa League adventure, having found the net three times in the Champions League among his six goals during the previous campaign.
Khalaili stated he has monitored English football for years and views this move as an fresh opportunity. He explained his admiration for Palace stretches back a considerable time, noting their three trophy achievements and expressing his desire to contribute further.
The capture marks the fifth new face at the club under Pierre Sage’s management.
Meanwhile, defensive duo Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oscar Mingueza joined without any transfer fee, while Dwight McNeil came in as part of a swap deal involving Brennan Johnson and Evann Guessand rejoined on a 12-month loan arrangement from Aston Villa.
