Crystal Palace have secured the signing of forward Zavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake in a deal worth approximately $15m (£11.1m).
The 19-year-old American has put pen to paper on a five-year contract, which remains conditional on receiving international clearance.
Gozo entered the Real Salt Lake academy system in 2021 and went on to make his first-team bow in Major League Soccer as a 16-year-old back in October 2023.
Throughout RSL’s opening 16 league matches of the current campaign, he has contributed six goals and four assists. The Utah native’s impressive performances earned him a place in the MLS All-Star Game selection this season.
Gozo has represented the United States at every youth international level through to the under-23s.
This move marks Palace’s sixth acquisition of the summer transfer period, following earlier signings of Oscar Mingueza, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Dwight McNeil, Evann Guessand and Anan Khalaili.
Under new manager Pierre Sage, Crystal Palace will kick off their Premier League campaign with an away fixture at Everton, scheduled for Saturday at 15:00 BST.
